An Introduction

First of all, welcome! And thank you for your interest in the London Chapter of Angels in the Night. Let’s start with an introduction, shall we?

Angels in the Night is a community effort. Our aim is to provide cold weather essentials and Christmas gifts to homeless shelters in communities across Canada. Every year, volunteers and businesses in Mississauga, Ottawa, London, Kitchener, Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, Edmonton, and Halifax work together to raise money and donations to be distributed within their communities. Every chapter delivers the donations on the same night in early December (this year it’s December 10th – mark your calendars!). If you’d like more information about Angels in the Night, check out the Angels in the Night homepage.

The London chapter was founded in 2013 and that year we raised over $20,000 in cash and donations for 3 shelters in London: the N’Amerind Friendship Centrethe Men’s Mission, and Zhaawanong Shelter for Native Women.

This year, we’re stepping it up on several levels – and this blog will be your go-to if you’d like to stay informed and get involved. We’ll be documenting our fundraisers and providing updates all along the way. All the information you’ll need will be here – and if something is missing, please let us know!

We’re looking forward to working with you over the next two months, together we can make this Christmas season a bit brighter for some of our fellow Londoners.
